Headmasters (also known as Titan Masters) are a subspecies of small-sized Cybertronian Bonded Masters found on the planets Cybertron, Earth, Nebulos, and Master.

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Headmasters share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they scale around the same size as Mini-Cons and transform into the heads of larger robots. Most Headmasters are hybrids of Cybertronian and organic species including humans and Nebulans while others are purely Cybertronian in nature.

Powers and abilities[]

Headmasters share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.

During a Headmaster procedure, the smaller partner gains control of a larger and more powerful body, whereas the Transformer gains an extra perspective on the battlefield. This psychic binary bonding allows them to draw on both their own ideas, tactics, and instincts as well as those of their smaller partner as quickly as if they were coming from their own head.

A Titan Master procedure behaves similarly to the Headmaster procedure, except the Titan Master also possesses a unique Spark that allows them to transfer their innate powers into the bodies of larger Cybertronians.

Headmasters from Planet Master possess numerous energy-manipulating superpowers and are able to exchange Transtectors freely with each other to increase their power levels. They can also link up with each other in the Head Formation for various destructive results.

Human Headmasters have their own natural physical strength and reflexes enhanced many times over by the energies filling their bodies. Their cellular structures undergo some form of ill-defined holistic transformation which allows them somehow to transform their actual, physical bodies into heads.

Unlike other organic Headmasters, human Headmasters they do not have to undergo any permanent alteration. Instead, they are capable of "turning off" their powers and becoming normal human beings with ease.

Weaknesses[]

Headmasters share many of the same weaknesses as other Cyberttronians.

Unlike Headmasters from Planet Masters, human Headmasters do not possess any of their energy-manipulating or power amplification powers. Another drawback is that they are unable to remove the Master-Braces that give them their powers.

Culture and society[]

Headmaster bonding typically occurs between two sentient beings, but there have been cases in which either the head or body is a non-sentient Transtector controlled entirely by the other partner.

Titan Masters function similarly to Headmasters except they are additionally compatible with Titans.

Technology[]

Developed by Headmasters from Planet Master, Master-Braces harness the mysterious Chōkon Power to transform humans, thereby allowing them to connect to Transtectors and become Headmasters themselves.

History[]

Primax 984.0 Gamma[]

The Headmaster technology was primarily the invention of the Nebulan scientist Arcana and was designed originally to let Nebulans utilize the bodies of Autobots to defend their world, something they did not trust the Autobots enough to let them do on their own.

The organic Nebulans of the Headmaster pairings were able to transform by use of a special suit of "intra-restruction armor" and a "cybernetic mindlink helmet". These suits interfaced with bio-cybernetic augmentation in the surgically altered humanoid. As described by Arcana, the process as originally enacted allowed the Autobots (still separate, disembodied heads at that point) to radio control their old bodies, while the Nebulan partners observed and planned strategy. This joint cooperation of two minds allowed greatly increased agility and superior aim.

The technology was implemented under dire circumstances, as the Nebulan capital city of Koraja was under siege by Decepticons, who sought the surrender of the five Autobots held in Nebulan custody: Fortress Maximus, Brainstorm, Hardhead, Chromedome and Highbrow. Five volunteer Nebulans (Galan, Arcana, Duros, Stylor, and Gort) underwent radical reconstructive surgery to allow them to bond with the Autobots. Now under Nebulan control, the Headmaster Autobots easily repulsed the Decepticon attack, despite being outnumbered two to one.

The Decepticons reluctantly accepted the possible benefits of this cooperation with organics, and six of them (Lord Zarak, Grax, Vorath, Monzo, Spasma, and Krunk) underwent the Headmaster process. Luring Fortress Maximus's team into an ambush, Scorponok and his fellow Bonded Masters Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, Weirdwolf, Apeface, and Snapdragon soon defeated their foes, blasting them unconscious, which caused their heads to disconnect and return to humanoid form.

The Autobot-allied Nebulans were taken captive and strung up in a suspended animation prison, while Scorponok's Headmasters rampaged across Nebulos, leaving Nebulan ruins and Autobot corpses in their wake. Realizing that his mind was being re-written by Scorponok, Zarak used the last shreds of his sanity to free the Autobot Headmasters. Fortress Maximus and his band soon left Nebulos for Earth, with the Decepticons in pursuit.

En route to Earth, Fortress Maximus was rebuilt into a larger form, with two Headmaster components: a small robot that transformed into his head, and his partner Galen, who now became the small robot's head. The two squads of Headmasters soon faced off again on Earth, in a battle inside the cave that had previously held the Ark. During the battle, Fortress Maximus and Scorponok both used their smaller Headmaster components to travel through an increasingly tight series of tunnels.

However, by doing so, Fortress Maximus's partner Galen became exposed to attack, and he died saving the human Spike Witwicky. With Galen killed while separated from Fortress Maximus, Spike demonstrated that it was possible for an organic to control and/or communicate with the larger robot's form with only the control helmet, as he took control of Fortress Maximus with nothing more than Galen's control helmet. Rejuvenated by their leader's attack, the Autobots soon drove off the Decepticon Headmasters.

The Headmasters largely stayed in the background during most of the Autobots' subsequent adventures, though Fortress Maximus remained a major player in the events leading up to the Underbase catastrophe. Sometime later, a weakness of the ad hoc nature of the Headmaster partnership became apparent. As the partnerships continued, two minds could meld into one, or conflict on nearly every level.

For example, Spike and Fortress Maximus were two separate minds sharing one body, with each dominant in his own form and able to converse with the other. Meanwhile, Lord Zarak and Scorponok seemed to reach some sort of fusion where he was both beings merged into one, with Scorponok to all intents and purposes becoming entirely subsumed by Zarak's personality. This was to the extent that, during the battle with Unicron, "Scorponok"'s interior monologue identifies himself as being Zarak merely filling the role of Scorponok, implying that the original Scorponok psyche was essentially gone.

Primax 984.17 Alpha[]

The Headmaster process was the brainchild of Autobot scientist Brainstorm, who had advocated that using an organic partner would be a good strategy in combat with the Decepticons. This iteration of the process also seems much less invasive for the organic humanoid involved. No surgical alteration is apparently needed on their part, and the process seems to consist mainly of altering the Cybertronian's head to have a control center for a partner to sit at inside and transform around the partner into a fancy exosuit.

While some who have undergone it have commented at feeling a closer bond with their respective partners, there is no reason to believe there is any true psychic connection between them as in the binary bonding of other continuities. Before detaching their head, the Cybertronian Bonded Master downloads their memory and personality into their auxiliary memory circuits in their chest.

The Nebulan partners who became Headmasters were far from being automatically on the same page. At one point the "good" Nebulans disagreed with the Autobots on strategy so much that they abandoned them and ran off, forcibly stranding the Autobot Bonded Masters in their vehicle modes.

Attempting to escape the wars on Cybertron, a group of diminutive Cybertronians only a little larger than human beings fled the planet. However, their ship crash-landed on the hazardous, inhospitable planet Master. The need for survival fostered several technological advances. This was helped in part by technology derived from the time-traveling Titan Brave Maximus, who had crashed on the planet sometime later.

Chief among them was the creation of "Transtectors", large lifeless robot bodies which the smaller robots could connect to and control. However, the small Cybertronians had not yet actually mastered the art of transformation. As such, they had to undergo rigorous mental and physical training in order to become "Headmasters", the name of which, obviously enough, derived from the planet itself.

The Headmasters subsequently migrated from Master and joined the Autobot and Decepticon forces on Cybertron and Earth, leading to a lengthy conflict that ultimately resulted in both factions departing the Earth for a prolonged period of time. With easy access to Earth cut off, its safety was in doubt should it be attacked by Decepticons in the future.

This prompted the Autobots on Master to create and dispatch six Master-Braces and Transtectors to Earth. Unfortunately, half the shipment was stolen by Decepticons, and both factions subsequently used the technology to turn three young human children into Headmasters in defense of Earth.

Maximal Primal Prime was critically damaged in a battle with Transmetal 2 Predacon Cryotek. This prompted fellow Maximal Apelinq to make the ultimate sacrifice, allowing the ancient supercomputer Vector Sigma to merge both Transmetal Maximals' sparks into the Headmaster-type Bonded Master Sentinel Maximus.

Sentinel Maximus combined Primal Prime's power, charisma, and direct link to the knowledge of the Matrix with Apelinq's strategic genius and ability to download virtual objects into reality. When a smaller, more stealthy form was preferable, the cab portion of his armored transport mode could disengage and transform into the Mini-Con Headmaster Hyperlinq.

Headmaster technology was originally developed on Cybertron, to be used in conjunction with Micromaster technology. It would have allowed a normal-sized robot to transform its head into a small body to conserve Energon. The process was perfected on Nebulon to allow organic beings to act as the head of a Cybertronian body, using aspects of combiner technology.

The process was designed to put the Nebulon in control of the body, but the actual process as perfected by Brainstorm and Arcana resulted in a mental bonding and partnership, with the robot generally maintaining control. Modified organic beings are able to contort during transformation, though appear normal when not wearing the Headmaster armor. Out of their armor, they are indistinguishable from unmodified beings, though they possess improved strength and endurance.

Schematics depict the Headmaster heads as larger "mecha" that the human partners pilot.

Primax 1005.19 Gamma[]

In the years preceding the unification of the Thirteen, Megatronus led his Darklanders in the "War of the Headmasters," though what exactly this campaign entailed is unclear.

The first known Headmasters were an ancient Cybertronian faction that fought in the First Cybertronian Civil War ten million years ago under the command of Nexus Prime. Their enemy, the Darklander Galvatron, saw the combination of "beastly" and "pure-born" Cybertronians as an abomination, implying all ancient Headmasters had animal-form heads. Galvatron vanquished the Headmasters during the war, paving the way for the unification of the Cybertronian race. Known ancient Headmasters include Myskrion, who was killed by Galvatron; and Thinkbox, who was later retrieved by Galvatron from the Murkdipper on the planet Spindrift. Another possible Headmaster was Scalp, who was allegedly friends with Tailgate.

Also existing alongside the ancient Headmasters were the Titan Masters, an ancient race dating back to the time of the Thirteen Tribes. Their diminutive stature belied their frighteningly alien physiology. Not only could they puppeteer the decapitated bodies of any larger Transformer, but they had the ability to consume the Sparks of their victims as an alternative source of energy. Their power lay in the ability to summon and control the Titans of ancient Cybertron, who were instinctually drawn to follow their commands. Some possessed the ability to fly under their own power, Enter the Shadow and, unlike other Cybertronians, they could selectively shut down parts of their body to cope with discomfort.

In the modern period, Headmaster technology was reinvented by the shadowy human organization known as the Machination, using technology developed by Scorponok on the planet Nebulos. Following a tip offered to him by the Combaticon Swindle, Ultra Magnus found schematics for enhancing a biological entity with Cybertronian technology, in effect producing a "transformable man". Magnus was able to determine that Nebulan businessman Mo Zarak had been subjected to this process shortly before Scorponok fled the premises.

Approximately 18 years later, the Machination captured Autobot Sunstreaker and Hunter O'Nion, dismantling the former and subjecting the latter to an extensive regimen of surgery and implants. Subsequently, they attempted to brainwash him into one of their soldiers. Hunter resisted and was able to contact Sunstreaker, allowing him to become a Headmaster to fight for the Autobots.

Initially, all Headmasters created by the Machination were non-sentient, guided by their human pilots. As well, all of these models were replicas of Sunstreaker, wired into the Autobot's actual head to help coordinate their movements. However, the success of these initial forays into the technology allowed for the first true binary-bond, enabling Abraham Dante to combine with his Decepticon master Scorponok to facilitate his rebirth. Scorponok was eventually defeated after his connection to his original head was severed. Following this, the remaining Headmasters were gathered up by Ultra Magnus, who purged the Machination of its technology.

At least two Titan Masters survived until the present day. One of these was Infinitus, who had served his master Nexus Prime during the First Cybertronian Civil War. Taking on a new identity after the death of his Prime, Infinitus became Sentinel Prime, "dying" during his first battle with Megatron. Following the creation of Autobot City on Earth, Infinitus was roused from his slumber and vowed to "purify" Cybertron from Decepticons and colonists.

The other surviving Titan Master was Sovereign, the herald of Onyx Prime who had been dispatched to Earth to find the lost Enigma of Combination. Disguised as a human, he eventually took on the alias Garrison Blackrock. He remained unaware of his true heritage until Sentinel Prime travelled to Earth and forcibly re-awoke Sovereign from his human disguise. Although Sentinel planned to use an army of undead Titans to cleanse his homeworld, he and Sovereign were defeated by Fortress Maximus, Prowl, Cerebros, Red Alert, and Beak. Sovereign was reverted to his Blackrock persona and Sentinel was killed.

"Blackrock" would go on to use his Titan Master powers extensively during the search for the Talisman and Garrison Kreiger. After receiving encouragement from the spectre of Mike Power, Blackrock used his abilities to summon Metrotitan and transmit a curative pulse, amplified by the Titan's personal Space Bridge, returning the Dire Wraith mutates to human form. During the final battle against Unicron, Blackrock Titan Mastered Metroplex into battle whereas renegade Maximal (and unofficial Autobot) Centurion Titan Mastered Trypticon.

Primax 207.0 Epsilon[]

In this tangent timeline of Primax 984.0 Gamma, evidence shows that the Headmaster process is reversible.

Primax 509.28 Epsilon[]

After Mo Zarak died, his son Olin Zarak inherited Scorponok and became his new Headmaster controller. Tornado claimed to have always said that there was something not right with Headmaster technology.

Primax 512.5 Gamma[]

After the deaths of most of the Headmasters by Unicron, the original heads still on Nebulos were given new bodies. Chromedome and Stylor were able to have the Headmaster process completely reversed.

Primax 215.19 Epsilon[]

When the war spread to Nebulos, the Decepticons allied with the Hive Nations and began a series of horrific biomechanical experiments on their Autobot and World Watcher prisoners of war. The result was the game-changing binary-bonding process, a fusion of Decepticon and Nebulan technology. It was not long until the Autobots reverse-engineered the process and deployed Headmasters of their own, then improved on the process to create Targetmasters. The Decepticons upped the ante by introducing the colossal double-Headmaster MegaZarak, forcing the Autobots to deploy the equally gargantuan Fortress Maximus. The result was the Scouring of Nebulos.

When the Cyberdroids of Planet Master got involved in the conflict years later, many of them chose to become Headmasters, replacing the ailing Nebulans. Both Optimus Prime and Galvatron adopted Headmaster partners when they became Triple-Threat Masters.

Three hundred years later, most Headmasters had died with their partners or were left bodiless. Some remained active, such as Cerebros, who had had his consciousness transferred into three Cyberdroid attendants who oversaw the maintenance of his old body.

In the ten thousand years following the Grand Uprising, the specialized subclasses of Cyberdroids and Nebulons were misremembered as the "Titanmasters". Resistance Supreme Commander Lio Convoy was thought to have been Titanmaster partners with the individual called Moon (or Mecha Usagi), though this was unconfirmed.

Aurex Cluster[]

Headmaster technology was utilized by Bonded Masters and their Mini-Con partners. For example, Rollout's combination with Overload involved transforming into the larger Autobot's head and "central core". This method has also been demonstrated with Ultra Magnus and his partner Knock Out.

Overload was an Autobot who developed an addiction to Powerlinxing, to the point where he would forcibly merge with Mini-Cons who did not want to join with him. Realizing that his addiction had turned self-destructive, he went into voluntary exile until he could overcome his problem. By the time that he sought refuge on Nebulon, Overload's spark had begun a fatal diminishment as a result of withdrawal from the Powerlinx process.

Fortunately, the Nebulan doctors Hi-Q and Arcana were treating another Cybertronian patient: Rollout, a Mini-Con who had lost the ability to transform as a result of nucleon. The two doctors consulted the archives and discovered an ancient medical technique known as the Headmaster process, which could save both Overload and Rollout's lives with a single operation. The procedure worked in saving the two Cybertronians.

However, after a time, it turned out Overload and Rollout's new shared form was unable to handle two sparks in one body. Therefore, their identities began to blur together. Seeking a Cybertronian physician, the Nebulans called on the Trasnmetal Autobot Rhinox for help. Rhinox brought them back to Cybertron and completely rebuilt them using the same techniques he had used when refitting Jetfire.

Even though he was incomplete, the new Overload was deployed to help Autobot leader Optimus Prime defeat his evil clone Nemesis Prime. With Rhinox killed in action during the battle against Unicron, his upgrade for Overload was left incompleted.

For many years, Overload never truly understood the mystery of his origins until he discovered his original schematics. After rebuilding himself into his original pre-Headmaster form, he left Cybertron in search of clues before eventually discovering Hi-Q, thereby solving the mystery.

Unicron's minion Sideways and Decepticon Rapid Run were double-Headmasters, being able to combine with special Headmaster-like Mini-Cons known as Combi-Micromaster. Other notable Headmasters were Omega Supreme and his fellow Omega Sentinels.

Tyran Cluster[]

The only known Headmaster was the sociopathic steampunk-like Autobot Cogman, who served the Burtan family as their faithful and enduring manservant for 700 years.

After Cade Yeager was given the Talisman from a dying Guardian Knight, Cogman reported this development to his latest charge Sir Edmund Burton. As the pair began making preparations, Cogman was dispatched to the United States of America to track down Cade. Arriving somehwere in South Dakota, he found that Cade, Izabella, and Jimmy were trying to evade some drones dispatched by the Transformers Reaction Force.

Encountering the trio in a lift, Cogman was offended by Jimmy mistaking him for a leprechaun and tried to introduce himself to Cade. Though he immediately got into a fight with Cade when he became uncooperative, he was shortly afterward spirited away by one of the drones. Watching from the sidelines, Cogman contact Sir Burton to report everything had gone sideways and that Cade was suddenly flying.

Fortunately, Cade survived the experience thanks to the Talisman and Cogman cleaned him up before introducing himself properly. After twisting an intervening Crosshairs' finger, he successfully talked Cade into accompanying him to England to ensure his friends' safety. With Bumblebee accompanying Cade as extra muscle, Cogman flew them to England aboard a mode-locked Northrop Seeker.

Cogman eventually arrived back at Castle Folgan with Cade and Bumblebee shortly before the latter's brother-in-arms Hot Rod arrived with Viviane Wembly. Inside, Cogman served the humans tea before suddenly attempting to decapitate Cade after he got fresh with Ms. Wembly. Luckily, Sir Burton talked him out of it while explaining to his guests how Cogman was a Headmaster.

Cogman walked Burton's dog as the group took a walk across the estate to the Round Table recreation, where he proceeded to play the organ and provide a choral accompaniment to Burton's exposition about King Arthur much to his annoyance. When the TRF and MI6 moved in on the castle, Cogman alerted everyone and organized the evacuation. Dropping off his master at the Trinity Library in London, Cogman distracted the authorities before returning for a pickup once Burton had learned Earth was actually Unicron.

A car chase with the TRF ensued, even after the pair switched to a decoy car. Ever the dutiful butler, Cogman passed on Burton's phone messages while evading the authorities. After a call from Viviane, they headed to the Royal Navy Museum to rendezvous with her and Cade. Along the way, Cogman managed to lose the TRF using some missiles shot from his head. When they arrived, Burton parted ways with Cogman, leaving him to protect Cade and Viviane as they departed by sub to find the Staff of Merlin.

After the HMS Alliance was attacked by the military, Cogman again had to stop Cade from getting fresh with Ms. Wembly. Shooting himself out of the mode-locked Seeker like a torpedo, Cogman caught two large fish to make into sushi for the two humans. The Alliance eventually arrived at and entered a massive ancient Cybertronian ship belonging to the Guardian Knights.

Cogman refused to go into the water to reach the ship inside, adding Bumblebee to his shit list when the larger Autobot knocked him in. He later emerged from the top of the ship with Viviane after Decepticon leader Megatron made off with the staff. The Guardian Knights' ship took them back to Stonehenge in England where Cogman found Burton lying on the ground, having been blasted by Megatron. As Burton thanked him for his service before expiring, Cogman deemed him the coolest Burton he ever served.

Alternate history[]

When the universe was still forming, before Autobots or Decepticons existed, the giant spaceship robots known as Titans were created and sent out to discover the powers and mysteries of the universe. Each Titan was crewed by Titan Masters, tiny robot caretakers charged with up-keeping their systems. The Titan Masters also had a greater purpose: each had a unique superpower they could grant to other Cybertronians, a gift intended to forge links with other civilizations they might discover.

The Titans and their crews were eventually forgotten by all but a few power-hungry and entirely unsuccessful legend hunters. Until the Titans mysteriously returned, and the Titan Masters partnered up with Autobots and Decepticons alike. Galvatron vowed that the Decepticons would use the Titan Masters to rule the universe. This new conflict quickly spread across the universe.

On Velocitron, the Speed Planet's biggest race of the year was interrupted in the final lap. Blurr was a previous champion of all Velocitron's major races. Teaming up with Titan Master Hyperfire at his wheel, he vied with Wheelie for the lead. However, Scourge and Titan Master Crashbash attacked, trying to capture their assigned target: Hyperfire. Luckily, Powermaster Optimus Prime, Sentinel Prime, and Hardhead were on hand to try and stop them.

Meanwhile, searching for info on the mysterious return of the Titans and their crews, Alpha Trion followed a trail of clues to the "Beast Planet" Eukaris. Amid jungle covered buildings Alpha Trion and the Titan Master Clobber located a mysterious ancient artifact that was linked to the Titans and Titan Masters. Mindwipe led an assault team consisting of Astrotrain, Wolfwire, and the Titan Master Apeface in an ambush to steal the artifact.

On Caminus, Skullsmasher and Titan Masters Grax and Terri-bull infiltrated the planet and stole the codes to the intergalactic Space Bridge network for the Decepticons. The theft was detected by an Autobot spy team consisting of Blaster, Stripes, Rewind, and the Titan Master Nightbeat. Blaster's team chased down the thieves and battled Skullsmasher's party for the codes in Caminus' streets.

Later, back on Cybertron, Soundwave led an all-out assault that included Scourge, Astrotrain, Skullsmasher, and several of his Mini-Cassette minions: Laserbeak, Rumble, and Ravage. The Decepticons pressed the attack while Powermaster Prime, Chromedome, Highbrow, Wheelie, Blaster, and Hardhead were among the defenders. The battle was interrupted when what first seemed like an earthquake attack by Rumble was actually the landscape itself transforming into the legendary Titan Fortress Maximus. Fortress was so large that he used two levels of Titan Masters.

Back on Velocitron, a new race was held with the prize new prize being the power to temporarily control the speed of anything, even time itself. Laser Prime led an Autobot team comprised of Rodimus Prime, Nautica, Fastclash, and Quickswitch. Rodimus finished the race first and claimed the prize for the Autobots, but there was a catch. To gain the power, he was transformed into a Titan Master himself, able to grant it to another. The Autobots faced a firefight to evade the Decepticons and leave the planet. Laser Prime saved the day, using his Laserpoint System to open a portal away from the world of speed.

In the depths of space, the monster Titan Trypticon and his Titan Master Necro traveled in starship mode between worlds, landing as a dark fortress or a terrible giant beast, brining doom and ultimate destruction wherever they passed. Trypticon ever hungered for Titan Masters to devour the way another robot would Energon cubes, and the macabre Necro longed to harvest and devour the sparks of all Cybertronians who crossed his dark path.

Notes[]

  • Many of the Titan Masters featured in the Titans Return toyline are reinterpretations of other types of Cybertronians including regular Bonded Masters, Targetmasters, Dinobots, Horrorcons, Dinocassettes, Monsterbots, Nosorons, Duocons, and Powermasters.
    • Several of these Titan Masters were originally designed by Emiliano Santalucia as new characters and sported original head mode designs before being reworked into existing characters with alternate trademark-friendly names.
    • Curiously, various Titan Masters based on existing characters were repurposed as unrelated Nebulon Headmasters in Beast Wars: Uprsing.
  • Cogman originated as a "medieval droid" design that appeared in two pieces of personal art by concept artist Steven Messing around 2014. These pieces of art were completely unrelated to Transformers at the time and were just considered "experiment" pieces that were done in his spare time while practicing his craft.[1][2]
  • Although Cogman is described as a Headmaster by Sir Edmund, he never actually demonstrates the ability on-screen during Transformers: The Last Knight. Despite this, Cogman's Deluxe Class toys share a similar engineering to Deluxe-or-larger figures from the Titans Return toyline.
    • Considering that Nitro Zeus' Voyager Class toy features a non-transforming head compatible with Titans Return figures, it is likely that an alternate death involving Cogman beheading the Decepticon and using his body like a Transtector was scripted for the movie. However, this idea ultimately went unfilmed and Nitro is instead killed by having Bumblebee blow up his head.
  • In the War for Cybertron Trilogy cartoon, the primary Scorponok is residing on "Nebulon Station". This is a callback to how Headmasters are occasionally portrayed as Nebulans.
    • Curiously, Nebulans are alternatively referred to as "Nebulons" in both Dreamwave's Generation 1-inspired Transformers comics and the Unicron Trilogy.
  • The insect-beast mode design for the subterranean Monsterbots featured in Transformers: Cyberverse are based on the Titan Master accessory vehicle included with the general retail Titans Return Titan Master Class Repugnus toy.
