The hawk eel is an aquatic creature native to the ocean planet Challenger.

Biology[]

The hawk eel is an aquatic creature with a body that was between twenty and thirty feet in length. It resembled and eel, thin like a knife, the top and bottom edges thin and flexible. It moved like a snake, appearing to slither through the water. What separated the creature from terrestrial eels, other than its immense size, were its head and jaws. Its mouth, extending nearly four feet from its eyes, resembled an eagle’s beak.

It was one of the predators of the seas of Challenger and was only rivaled in aggression by the sickle-tooth. With its snake-like body the hawk fish constricted its opponent, holding it in place while the beak cracked through the flesh or armor plates. The hawk fish is one of the few if not only animal that is I afraid to fight against the Caesar Crab as its beak can penetrate its shell.
