The Groovy Long Legs is a recently discovered species of Arachnorb on planet PNF-404, found and documented during the Rescue Corps' exploration.

Biology[]

Studies of the overall anatomy reveal that while there is still evidence of internal organs, the outer body is made up of inorganic material (the exact substance still unclear). The legs and main body are covered in an inorganic, bluish substance vaguely resembling wires and metal, with the orb itself fashioned in a manner similar to a disco ball. Unlike other arachnorbs, this species has evidence of eye-like photosensitive sensors all along its rotund carapace.

Behavior[]

The Groovy Long Legs gets its name due to the unique, almost animatronic behavior to move in tune to its own rhythm, each step in-time to an internal beat. The photosensitive sensors also have a unique characteristic to change color depending on the movement of the creature: shifting between blue (slow), yellow (medium), and red (fast).

When threatened, it is able to release a chemical substance from its leg joints onto its attacker. When in contact with this substance, the other organism's brain is put under the Groovy Long Legs' control, a state noted by observers as "the endless dance". The organism is trapped underneath the Groovy Long Legs following the same rhythm. As of current study, there isn't a known cure for this and the process is stopped either through death of the individual, death of the Groovy Long Legs, or through wearing off over time.
