The Gray Mourners are a sapient arachnid-like species with ten limbs, multiple eyes and narrow torsos. They display a clear case of sexual dimorphism, with the females being twice as large and usually accompanied by two or more males. Their jaws are able to disjoint like a snake's, allowing them to swallow large quantities of food. To consume liquids, they instead extrude a snorkel-like tube from their mouths.
