The Grays is a collective name for the alien races that originate from a distant world and invaded Earth after their original world took a turn for the worse.
Biology[]
The Grays appear to be made of four distinct humanoid races.
One being gray skinned humanoids with large bulging eyes that come in amber or Robin egg blue. They reminiscent of aliens rumored to have crash-landed on Roswell, albeit rather than short pygmies they are actually around the same height as humans. Females are generally thinner and taller, with distinct head frills. They make up the majority of the Grays,
The second are a pale green skinned humanoid race, with down-curved spiraling cranial horns and lack of visible mouths but are capable of expressing themselves vocally through some means.
And a third being a an saurian-like species with a brow ridges and a smooth dome head.
A fourth being, a squat lumbering biped.
History[]
65 million years ago the Gray civilization was at its peak to the point when they were capable of launching starship to the stars. One of their probes that they sent out into space in order to lay claim to other worlds. One of them being Earth, which caused the extinction of the dinosaurs. The planet though being turned lifeless was wiped clean, the technology in the asteroid would shape the world to eventually house an environment amicable to their species. Only then would the planet be ripe for colonization by the Grays and would occur sometime in the distant future.
Around 200,000 years, the Grays became aware that the planet they had laid claim to had somehow developed intelligent life. The emergence of life on Earth was regarded as an aberration, given the Grays regarded themselves as the true and technical owners of Earth and humans the squatters on their property. Over the course of human history the Grays sent scouts to Earth to study the human cultures and monitored humanity's progress. Though humanity's continued butchery of their world and constant wars left the aliens wholly unimpressed and with a low opinion of humanity.
On such planetary survey was the result in which a Gray pilot crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, leading to the Roswell Incident. His existence was covered up and the alien was placed under observation.
In 1966 the asteroid was discovered by scientists embedded in the sea floor. It was then extracted for study and taken to Pine Gap, Australia by the U.S. government for study. The same site was eventually the place when the alien form the Roswell Incident was moved to, after the government officials realized that the alien was practically useless to them, given his stupidity.
However at Pine Gap, the alien rechristen Gary, was quite a resource to the scientists studying the asteroid that would be later named Project: Rainfall. However due to the asteroid being only able to respond to a member of the Kal'i.
For some reason, the Gray homeworld experienced a devastating war that rendered it dying. In order to save their culture and people, the Queen of the Grays initiated a mass exodus to the nearest planet capable of sustaining life: Earth. In the view of the aliens, Earth was the only place for them to flee as the galaxy had a rare commodity for planets that could sustain life. Due to humanity's environmental abuse of the planet and internal fighting, the aliens arguably believed conquest of Earth put them was the only option. They also held themselves in a higher moral standing than humanity which they deemed did not deserve their world.
In 2014, the Grays reached Earth and within days subjugated the planet by blanketing the cities of Earth with EMPs. They sent down their armies to eliminate any resistance and capture any surviving humans to use as a labor force in order to cultivate their own plants from their homeworld on the planet.
In Australia, a human resistance group based near a small town, hindered the alien's operations by targeting their sites and freeing human slaves. Though after months of dodging the retaliation attacks, the Grays began to use more drastic methods such as poisoning the rivers to smoke out the resistance. They also began to experiment on humans in order to develop a virus that would wipe out the species they deemed to be vermin infesting Earth. The Gray force occupying Australia managed to locate the resistance, nearly wiping it out, until the arrival of remnants of the Australian military.
The Australia military having received intel that the virus would be deployed in Sydney, led an attack on the ruins of the city, only to discover it was a trap. The virus was still in the area of the town, and under guard. Though thanks to the efforts of a small band of resistance fighters, the virus was destroyed and the Gray commander killed.
The remaining Grays who surrendered and taken captured where then given a choice by the human resistance, and offer of peace to coexist on Earth. Many having become disillusioned by the war, taking the offer and joined the human resistance with promise of a better life, fighting alongside their human allies.
However the promise of equality and friendship proved to be a dark lie, as the human commanders of the resistance regarded their alien allies as "other" and no different than the invaders. Human lives were give priority first for evacuation procedures and medical attention. Then they began to clandestinely use the turncoat Grays as cannon fodder, using them as sacrifices in their war to retake Earth. Worse Gray families were taken and used a lab rats for experiments in order to develop a virus to wipe out the aliens. These atrocities did not escape the notice of the Grays. Despite the betrayal of many of her misguided subjects, the Queen understood that many of her kindred were desperate and only seeking a better life, but was furious and disgusted by humanity's "mercy" and vowed revenge for the crimes done unto her kind.
To that end she sought out Project Rainfall, in order to use the asteroid to wipe Earth clean of the human filth. By the time when the crimes of the military leaders of the resistance were found out, the Queen and her forces arrived at their base. An attempt was made for peace, though it served only to incense the Queen as the humans hid the war criminals behind their own warped sense of justice and laws. The base was attacked with many of the soldiers loyalty to their mad human leaders being killed, while those loyal to their alien allies fled to Pine Gap.
The human resistance in Australia had effectively been wiped out, and to make matters worse, Project Rainfall was taken, ripped from the Earth with the Queen intent on using the asteroid to annihilate the human race.
Culture[]
The Gray appear to be an advanced spacefaring culture, having developed millions of years ago, under the rulership of elders led by a monarch. The monarch is in turn protected by an elite band of soldiers known as the Kal'i.
Besides possessing energy-projection weapons and advanced armor, they had in possession of world-destroying asteroids that could change the form of a planet to suit their needs.
The Grays possess technology that can detect life energy which is suppose to aid in tracking their target. Though due to life being very rare on their home planet, on Earth where life is in abundance, their sensors sometimes are overwhelmed, making their technology blind.
