The Gorthikan are a sapient bipedal toxoid species native to the planet Gorthold.
History[]
Until the 23rd century, numerous small-scale conflicts were commonplace on the planet Gorthold. As the Gorthikan civilisation entered the age of high technology, a world of crime developed, where ordinary Gorthikans extracted their livelihoods and even combined dangerous gene cocktails in search of a competitive advantage. It was the underworld that began to radically change their society. Despite the brutality, the people in the underworld lived in a more egalitarian society than in the tyrannical state on their planet. The people began to protest against the dictatorship and eventually overthrew it, installing a new democratic government. A "Gorthikan Alliance" of local constituencies was established.
