The Goblins are a name given to a race of alien observers that came to Earth to study humans.

Biology[]

Goblins are a small vaguely pale green humanoid species, with pointed ears, yellow bulbous eyes and sharp teeth. They appear to possess some kind of mental abilities, enabling them to levitate. They also appear to be able to cause delusions as a defense mechanism. Their eyes appear to be able to record with startling detail of everything they see. Additionally they appear to be able to detach their eyes, even inserting them into other species so that they can be used to as hosts to see the world.

Background[]

The Goblins had been lurking around a town called Hooperville. Several residents of the town had seen the aliens, which the latter reacted by causing the humans to see hallucinations. In some of the cases, it caused them to become erratic and see monsters around them, resulting them in violently lashing out with fatal results. The town authorities assumed that the local madness was the effects of something in the water, and did not pay it any mind.

Though a sales team belonging to Harrison Mills Photography, who were out collecting donations for the local fire department, heard of the incidents. Being amateur monster hunters, they decided to investigate after they had a personal visit from the aliens.

Their investigation led them to forest where they found a giant mushroom the size of a building. Upon entering it they left a trail of stickers to lead them out of the maze of flesh. They were led through an area that resembled a hallucination of a farmhouse where they discovered several owls had their eyes replaced with the eyes of the Goblins.

Going deeper they came before the control center of the mushroom, containing thousands of eyes which the Goblins showed recorded everything they see. The Goblins then led the group into another part of the mushroom, the chamber changing to a regular room with comfortable settings. Eventually the subtle familiarity was beginning to dawn on the hunters that the Goblins were lulling them into a false sense of security. Their fears proved true as they saw that the Goblins intended on bringing them to an operating table to remove their eyes,

The hunters panicked and fled, fighting their way out of the mushroom, cutting a door to escape. Once they were outside, the mushroom retracted from the ground, flying into the stars, revealing it to be a spaceship.

The sales team uncertain if they had won or defeated the aliens, opted to leave the town the next morning. It proved to be a shrewd decision as the team slowly discovered that majority of the townspeople in Hooperville had their eyes replaced with Goblins eyes eerily watching the team drive away.

Culture[]

Not much is certain about the species, but based on their actions, they appear to be observers studying humanity. For what purpose either it be for scientific study or invasion, is still unknown.

Their technology which appears to be some sort of fungoid hybrid. Their spaceships are giant mushrooms, resembling Agaricus Bisporus, with the interior being alive, and also possessing hallucinogenic properties to make intruders experience delusions similar to the Goblins own mental abilities.

Their biology works in tandem with their technology as in the center of their ships is a vast chamber covered with eyes of the Goblins which they insert after removing them and placing them in empty alcoves to share information. Additionally their ships contain facilities, such as operating rooms so that they can conduct surgeries to remove their victims eyes and replace them with theirs.
