Gigantians were a sapient prehadean humanoid species from Gigantus, a possibly artificial planet several hundred times the size of Jupiter in the Andromeda Galaxy. They were among the races experimented on by the Celestials. Gigantian Eternals were the dominant race of Gigantians, although all Gigantian races are referred to as merely Gigantians, and baseline Gigantians presumably went extinct before Gigantus' destruction.
Biology[]
Gigantians were Human-like humanoids, but stood at approximately 4.57 meters tall. Only the Eternal line of the Gigantians is known, although they were presumably similar in appearance to baseline Gigantians and possible Gigantian Deviants. However, being Eternals, it is likely that their lifespans were far longer than Humans and baseline Gigantians, although Gigantian Eternals have been seen visibly aging. Gigantian Eternals did not display any abilities that would be seen as superhuman.

A Gigantian city
Gigantians were a peaceful species, staying away from conflict for as long as they could, vowing to keep their devotion to peace and life, even after seeing war come to their home system. Despite this, they appeared to have held a military force prior to the invasion of the Eyungs, although this force rarely saw action and appeared mostly ceremonial, only growing in size and combat ability during the war against Eyung. Gigantian soldiers carried swords and wore winged helmets, metal armor of varying colors, and blue capes. Gigantian cities were chrome white with trees and statues of avian creatures, and Gigantian civilians commonly wore robes. Prior to the Eyung invasion, Gigantians remotely observed other worlds.
Technology[]
Gigantians were incredibly advanced, capable of converting their homeworld into a Dyson Sphere. They also had access to advanced spacecraft, able to construct an armada of warships shaped like flying saucers, although with defined backsides bearing a single thruster, with two spike-like armaments on their front and a circular hatch-like component on their undersides. They also had access to scanners capable of seeing events unfolding on other planets in real time, and later access to Reaction Bombs, antimatter bombs capable of destroying planets the size of Jupiter. Most notably, their technology allowed them to somehow merge all of their minds into a single being, known as the Uni-Mind, a humanoid of incredible cosmic power.
History[]
Long before the formation of the Sol System, Celestials came to Gigantus, a large planet in the Gwydion System of the Andromeda Galaxy. The natives, humanoids known Gigantians, were modified by the Celestials, becoming Eternals. The Gigantian Eternals developed exponentially, creating a peaceful, technologically advanced society, their population growing to what appears to be quadrillions as they converted their planet into a Dyson Sphere several hundred times the size of Jupiter. However, Gigantian observatories saw another Eternal species of the Andromeda galaxy, the Eyungs, who had the same level of advancements, but were conquerors. Rather than face the threat, the Gigantians opted to remain hidden for as long as they could, until eventually, the Eyung campaign reached and destroyed the planet closest to Gigantus, with Gigantus being the next target of the Eyungs.
The Eyung invasion came swiftly after the destruction of the closest planet, with successful initial assaults. However, the population and size of Gigantus was so large that the Eyung advance soon slowed, and the Gigantians, forced into war, began fighting back, their combat skill growing with each battle, stretching the war over millenniums. Soon, the Eyungs were suffering heavy losses, finding that Gigantus was impossible to conquer with what resources they had. Rather than waste more soldiers on the invasion, the Eyungs retreated and utilized antimatter-based Reaction Bombs to destroy Gigantus, many pieces of the planet being blasted off and sent to deep space. However, a massive armada had already been constructed by the Gigantian military, escaping the planet's destruction. Vowing vengeance, the Gigantian armada arrived at the planet Eyung, breaking its defenses and launching their own Reaction Bombs on the planet, destroying it. Before the planet's complete destruction, the Eyungs used synthesizing chambers to transfer their minds to an Eyung military commander, named Grom, turning him into the Eyung Over-mind, who escaped the destruction of Eyung, plotting to take over the universe. To combat the Over-mind, surviving Gigantians also merged their minds into a single being, known as the Uni-mind, left to develop in an organic spaceborne pod. Although the legacy of Gigantus appeared to only reside in the Uni-mind, pieces of Gigantus made it into the Milky Way, eventually forming into the various bodies of the Sol System.
The Gigantian Uni-mind remained in space for some time, eventually forming into a being known as The Stranger. The Stranger existed for many eons, and eventually became engaged in the same pursuit of knowledge as the species that made him, although his mind gradually destabilized into insanity, and he grew to become a very immoral being, committing several atrocities in pursuit of testing the universe's oddities, such as destroying Egros' species to create Ego the Living Planet. Additionally, the Stranger once claimed that he was not the Uni-mind, but instead found the Uni-mind in space and accidentally killed it, before taking on its mantle. This claim was proven to be false when The Stranger's increasingly-fractured mind temporarily desynchronized, the Gigantian minds within him coming into conflict with each other. With the help of Alvin Harper, a Human modified and studied by The Stranger, the still-sane Gigantian minds were able to resynchronize the entire gestalt, restabilizing The Stranger. With his mind restored, The Stranger set out to complete his true mission, which was finding an ideal world to become New Gigantus.
