The Gexemedan Clan is a bounty hunter family that operate in the Imperium Ascendant.
Background[]
The clan trace its founding when the outlaw Krut Gexemed used his own cells to create seven clones of himself. The clones were intended by Gexemed to avoid the law, as in his reasoning he could not be convicted if the authorities were unable to determine whether he was the original or a clone.
Upon learning of the plan by their progenitor, the clones instead chose to kill Gexemed and turn his body in for the reward.
Biology[]
The members of the Gexemdan Clan are pale skinned humanoids with thumb-like heads that possess circular mouths and devoid of eyes.
History[]
After Proteus Vex was stripped of his rank and declared a criminal by the Imperium, the clan seeking to cash in on the ten million silver reward, implement a trap for Vex. Knowing that Vex was a cavutust, the clan captured three specimens, and leaked that they were being held on the planet Ysan Tertiary knowing that the former agent would try to rescue them.
Six of the clan cornered Vex in a nearby city when he appeared unarmed. Holding him at blaster point the clan gloated that they had captured Vex. However Vex had already deduced that he walked in the trap and he allowed himself to be held captive so as to allow his partner Navarch Ko Andrum to dispatch the single Gexemdan to rescue the cavutusts.
Meanwhile Vex having researched prior on the inhabitants of Ysan Tertiary, knew that while they were primitive, were also very obstinate to the galaxy at large, and actually impressive fighters. The Gexemdan ran afoul with the populace of the city when they were causing a disturbance with their hold up of traffic in the city with Vex's capture. The local militia were quickly alerted and slaughtered all six clan members.
After Vex and Andrum departed the planet, one of the members of the clan miraculously survived. Not only that he overheard the two fugitives next destination. Feeling cheated of being robbed of the bounty on the flesh-pilots and wishing to avenge his brothers, the clan member contacted Imperium Agent Melody Pen Naday, with information on Vex's location in exchange for 15 million silver, the extra 5 million being compensation for his brother's deaths and also for his silence from telling others where Vex was heading.
