Geochelone Aerios, also known as Aldabrans, are bipedal tortoise-like aliens from Aldabra, a grassy planet in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Geochelone Aerios are green humanoid turtle-like aliens with 6 or 8 holes in their torsos. They have large, flipper-like arms, small stumpy legs, and pupil-less eyes.
Diet[]
Much like Earth turtles, Geochelone Aerios eat grass.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
Geochelone Aerios can create powerful wind blasts from the holes on their torso shell. While this happens, they retract their heads into their shells, open a hatch to see, their fins become triangular, and their legs combine into a similar shape. Their shell stays static and suspended while their limbs rotate at high speeds.
In addition to wind blasts, Geochelone Aerios can also shell eject powerful tornadoes and create strong vacuums.
Gepchelone Aerios can use their winds to fly like a helicopter, blowing air to hover over a surface and using their rotating limbs as propellers.
Geochelone Aerios are strong enough to hold a giant robot with their bare hands while spinning, charge into a building by busting down a door, and carry a Tetramand on their back while keeping steady flight.
A Geochelone Aerios' wind blasts are powerful enough to redirect objects[2] and put out fires.
Geochelone Aerios have durable shells, giving them enhanced durability when they are completely withdrawn into them.
Geochelone Aerios are immune to poisonous gases, courtesy of the holes on their shells.
Geochelone Aerios are immune to both an Anodite's Mana attacks and magic in general. In fact, Geochelone Aerios are capable of performing magic themselves.[2]
Geochelone Aerios possess enhanced dexterity, despite having flippers rather than hands. They can also extend the black holes at the tips of their flippers into finger-like claws.
Weaknesses[]
If they get stuck to something and cannot spin their arms and legs, or if any of the holes on their chests get blocked, a Geochelone Aerios' wind powers will decrease.
If a small object is jammed in a Geochelone Aerios' shell, it will irritate them enough to stop in order to remove the obstruction.
If they do not use their magic immunity, Geochelone Aerios can be affected by magic, as there is a spell that can slow them down while they are in their propeller form.
If a Geochelone Aerios has an opponent on their shell while in their flight form and attempt to shake them off, their flight will become unsteady.
Unless they are flying, a Geochelone Aerios' body is cumbersome and not very agile. The position of their face also gives them a very big blind spot and they have to turn their entire body around to see behind them.
Geochelone Aerios cannot run on certain surfaces, such as water.
Culture and society[]
Geochelone Aerios are non-violent, preferring to spend their time debating philosophy with each other.[1] Similarly, they appear to enjoy gathering in groups.
Geochelone Aerios revere an ancient, mystical member of their species named Addwaitya.
Lying and prison have been postulated by Geochelone Aerios philosophers. Some of them have thought of lying, but they do not do it.[2]
Notable members[]
- Terraspin: An Omnitrix transformation used by Ben Tennyson.
- Galapagus: An Geochelone Aerios that had been captured by Aggregor and Terraspin's genetic donor.
Half-qualifiers[]
- Ultimate Kevin: 17-year-old Kevin Levin of the Prime Timeline transformed into an amalgamation of every alien available in the Ultimatrix prior to traveling to the Forge of Creation, including Terraspin. He would later absorb all of Ultimate Aggregor's powers, such as those he acquired from Galapagus.
- Ultimate Aggregor: Aggregor transformed into an amalgamation of all five aliens he collected, including Galapagus.
- Addwaitya: A Geochelone Aerios sorcerer whose DNA has been altered by the enormous amount of magic powers that he manipulates.[2]

Notes[]
- The full name of this species comes from "Geochelone", which is a genus of tortoises; and "Aerio", which is Latin for air; it was first used on-screen by Khyber in the Omniverse episode "Of Predators and Prey: Part 2".
- Due to fan misconceptions, it had been perceived for several years that "Gheochelone Aerios" was only used to refer to this species in the plural.
- The alternate Aldabran is named after the "Aldabra Atoll", a group of islands home to one of the largest species of turtles on Earth, the "Aldabra Giant Tortoise"; it was first used on-screen by Inspector 13 in the Ultimate Alien episode "Inspector #13".
- During the development of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Terraspin went through many name changes but the early named were all shut down by the writer's legal team.[5]
- One of the trophies seen on Khyber's ship is a Geochelone Aerio shell.
- Geochelone Aerios have been confirmed to exist in the Ben 10 reboot continuity. However, while Terraspin's DNA is currently not in the Omnitrix, it will "get added later".[6]
