The Gargan is a large non-sapient predatory species from the forests of the planet Parakon.
Biology[]
Gargans are long-necked quadrupeds, with sharp teeth as large as those of a Tyrannosaurus. Their hindlimbs are short, while the forelimbs are well-developed. They walk on their knuckles like a gorilla. They have very poor eyesight and hearing, which is compensated by an acute sense of smell. Their vocalizations have been described as roars and squealing bellows.
Gargans are strictly territorial creatures which mark the borders of their territories with piles of stones. Anyone who ventures inside the territory will be hunted relentlessly, as the Gargan does not rest until it's able to devour the intruders.
Cultural significance[]
The Gargan is considered a sacred animal by the Kimonyans.
