Fuzors are a subspecies of hybridized animalistic Cybertronians commonly found on the planets Cybertron and Eukaris.

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Fuzors share a similar biology to other bestial Cybertronians, except their alternate modes are fusions of at least two different creatures.

Powers and abilities[]

Fuzors share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.

Similar to Transmetals, Fuzors are immune to the effects of Vok Metal Hunter.

Due to their association with Unicron, Blentrons are ridiculously powerful compared to other Fuzors. They are strong enough to take down the likes of Big Convoy or Magmatron with little effort.

Blentrons are immensely durable and can regenerate immediately, able to shrug off nearly any damage.

Weaknesses[]

Fuzors share many of the same weaknesses as other Cybertronians.

Fuzors are vulnerable to Megatron's transformation virus.

Culture and society[]

Fuzors appear to share the same culture as other Cybertronians, though certain Fuzors have personalities dominated by a single trait. For example, Silverbolt have chivalry whereas Quickstrike has cruelty. However, it is unclear whether these are common traits of Fuzors or side effects of the quantum surge.

The hybridized nature of a Fuzor's beast mode is often brought on by a stasis pod malfunction, which can cause its DNA scanner to choose multiple native life forms simultaneously and combine them. However, Fuzors are alternatively created through either natural evolution or by modifying the beast mode of a traditional bestial Cybertronian.

Magmatron is unique among the Fuzors in that he has three complete beast modes, which can operate both separately and combined.

Blentrons (also known as Blendtrons) are a group of freakish Fuzors devoted to the evil Unicron.

History[]

Primax Cluster[]

Primax 496.22 Alpha[]

The energies of the quantum surge produced as a result of the Vok Planet Buster's destruction caused a multitude of orbiting stasis pods to crash to prehistoric Earth during the Beast Wars. Many of these pods were damaged in the process, causing replication errors with their built-in DNA scanners that resulted in the creation of Cybertronians with hybridized bestial alternate modes.

Each Fuzor also appeared to suffer significant data track loss, as Silverbolt and Quickstrike had no knowledge of their identities as Maximal protoforms.

Primax 1005.19 Gamma[]

On the Cybertronian colony of Eukaris, some of the native Eukarians developed chimeric beast forms. While merged with the mind of the Titan Metroplex, Camien cityspeaker Windblade caught a glimpse of Fuzors Injector and Air Hammer swimming in an ocean.

Primax 215.19 Epsilon[]

While working for the Darksyders, Autobot scientist Leatherhide and his Maximal partner Labrat produced Fuzors at least in part by reverse engineering the captured cyborg Klaws.

Aurex 1104.30-JH Zeta[]

Optimus Primal destroyed Tarantulas's shipload of Super Energon in orbit, triggering a Super Energon Transwarp Explosion which damaged some stasis pods to create Fuzors. Some of these Fuzors would inspire legends of mythical creatures. For example, Silverbolt was known to the Natiltec people of prehistoric Mexico as a heroic feathered wolf god.

Uniend 911.05 Alpha[]

At some point, Autobot medical officer Ratchet modified Bantor's beast mode from a mandrill into a Fuzor with the combined attributes of a mandrill and a tiger.

Notes[]

  • The term "Fuzor" is meant to be an "Xtreme Kool letterz" version of fuser, meaning one who fuses. However, the name rhymes with "soar", not "sir". Hasbro would later reuse the term "Fuzor" when launching its Zoids: Fuzors toyline.
  • Magmatron is identified as an "unstoppable tri-dinosaur Fuzor" on the packaging bio on the American Beast Machines release of his Ultra Class toy.
  • Tigerhawk was never officially identified as a Fuzor at any point during Beast Wars, presumably because the Fuzor subline had been discontinued by the time of his release in favor of Transmetal 2 characters.
    • Tigerhawk would eventually be canonized as a Fuzor in Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II and the packaging bio for the TakaraTomy release of his Legacy: United Leader Class toy.
  • Evidently, it seemed that someone at Hasbro (or rather, Kenner at the time) really liked the concept of mixing together wild animals to create new monstrous beasts. The same premise was used for Kenner's Jurassic Park: Chaos Effect toyline, launched at the same time as the Fuzors were released and advertised in the same toy catalogues.
  • The Transformers: Cyberverse cartoon features Air Hammers and Injectors, non-sapient Cybertronian-like species modeled after the Beast Wars Fuzors of the same names.
