Florians are sapient plant-based aliens that inhabit the planet Botanica's Floral Kingdom.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Florians are humanoid flowers with slender limbs, four-fingered hands, and seemingly toeless feet. Their various skin colors and petal shapes cause them to resemble various flower species native to Earth. Like many other species within their galaxy, they have black eyes with white pupils.
Many if not all Florians have one long eyelash on each eye. With most species, eyelashes are made of hair, but singe Florians have petals in the place of hair, the composition of their eyelashes is unknown.
Much like non-sapient flowers, Florians can 'wilt' and 'bloom'. In their case, this is caused by their emotions, rather than external factors.
In place of bones and other internal organs, Florians have a system of roots.
Diet[]
Being plants, Florians do not eat. They sustain themselves primarily on water.
Powers and Abilities[]
Florians are one of the only species in their galaxy with any significant powers. They can generate vines from various points on their bodies, which can be used to reach objects they otherwise would not be able to. The most common use of this power is to use the vines as legs, and walk over surfaces that the Florians considers unclean.
Weaknesses[]
Florians's internal roots are vulnerable to low temperatures.
Culture and Society[]
Florians are their galaxy's main 'royal species', essentially meaning they rule all the others. There are several secondary royal species which hold considerable power, but none as much as the Florians.
Florians rarely leave Botanica, largely due to their belief that other species are beneath them. On the rare occasion that they do venture to other planets, they assist with food production.
Members of the Florians's ruling family will occasionally lead galaxywide religious gatherings.
