The Fireflinger Groink is another, rarer form of Groink that has been recently documented by Captain Olimar on PNF-404 during his Sparklium expedition.
Biology
Despite its name and appearance, it is impossible to truly determine if it is truly a relative to the Gatling Groink, its scientific name completely different, and is described as being "Half-mechanical" rather than biomechanical (though it could mean the same thing).
Fireflinger Groinks are a fish-like creature with robotic components, standing three times taller than a Hocotatian. However, compared to the Gatling Groink, it possesses less mechanical features, is red with yellow stripes much like most fire-influenced fauna on PNF-404, and seems to have a glass covering on the front of its legs.
Captain Olimar described the Fireflinger Groink as being a very merciless creature and will attack anything that enters its territory, and while it can't shoot mortars it is able to shoot out large molten fireballs, which are so powerful not even Red Pikmin can withstand them.
