Fireball's species are a race of intelligent beings which live within yellow stars, including Sol. Their technology allows them to control the star's weather, rendering it stable and preventing the star from going nova.
They are subject to a highly contagious and deadly decease which they describe as a "self-replicating magnetic effect that damps us from inside".
