Scrapmetals are a subspecies of vermin-like Cybertronians from the depths of Cybertron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Scrapmetals share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they transform into four-legged "spider tanks" with rear-mounted cannons.
Powers and abilities[]
Scrapmetals share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Scrapmetals are almost never witnessed as individuals, only in large swarms that can overwhelm robots far larger than them through sheer strength of numbers, no matter how many of their own dead they skitter over.
While they have only a base animal-level intelligence, Scrapmetals appear to follow the orders of sentient Scrapmetals on an exceedingly rare occasion.
Weaknesses[]
Scrapmetals share many of the same weakness as other Cybertronians.
Scrapmetals are smaller and weaker compared to the average Cybertronian, meaning that they can easily be crushed.
Culture and society[]
Scrapmetals generally behave somewhat similar to both Earth locust and Scraplets, essentially being a dangerous scourge of nearly mindless insectoid robots that swarm from planet to planet, devouring everything in their path. By the time of Cybertron's evacuation, thousands of Scrapmetals have infested the abandoned planet, having chewed their way up from its depths.
The Scrapmetals swarm becomes even more dangerous with the presence of an exceedingly rare number of sapient members. One such individual is a Decepticon coincidentally named Scrapmetal, who is regarded an aberration among his own kind. Although he is physically identical to his kin, this Scrapmetal is the only one to have developed intelligence.
History[]
Aurex Cluster[]
Little is known about where Scrapmetals originate from, or why they look very much like Cybertronians. Some claim that they were originally Terrorcons from Planet Q before they were mutated by the Unicron Singularity. Others claim they are descendants of Insecticons, who could produce clone minions.
Primax Cluster[]
In Primax 208.06 Zeta, Scrapmetals exist as a body-type of Vehicon drones with the former Predacon Inferno as their general.
