Red Pikmin are, as their name suggests, a red-colored species of Pikmin, with their notable feature being their thorn-like pointed noses.
Red Pikmin are the most common species of Pikmin, but are also more aggressive and have stronger attacks than most other species, only being beaten by the Purple Pikmin in strength and Rock Pikmin in throwing power. They are also surprisingly heat resilient, and can survive easily with being on fire despite being part plant. The only known exception to this would be the massive fireballs spat out by agitated Fireflinger Groinks, which even Red Pikmin succumb to.
