Evolved Sonorosians, also known as Sonorosian Ultim,[1] are a race of humanoid creatures made of silicon and the evolved form of Sonorosians.

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Evolved Sonorosians are tall blue humanoid beings made of silicon with black stripes, an overall rounded design, long arms, long legs with stumped feet, and markings on their backs resembling a cassette tape. They also have 15 removable speaker-like "Sonic Disks"[2] all over their bodies.

Powers and abilities[]

Evolved Sonorosians can release ultrasonic blasts from either their mouths much like their regular counterparts or deployable Sonic Disks that capable of harming other beings such as Opticoids, Necrofriggians, Anodites, Evolved Arachnichimps, and even Ultimate Kevin to the point of incapacitating them.

Technically speaking, an evolved Sonorosian's sonic screams are much more powerful than that of their devolved counterparts, as they can crush military tanks, shatter steel, and damage Petrosapiens if projected at the correct frequency.

Evolved Sonorosians can create force fields out of their sonic waves that are strong enough to contain a blast from a Nuclear Fusion Grenade.

Evolved Sonorosians can levitate and fly at fast speeds using their sound waves.

Evolved Sonorosians can survive in extremely hot and cold environments, such as those found on Mikd'lty.

Because their metallic appearances, evolved Sonorosians can survive and use their powers in the vacuum of space.

Weaknesses[]

Due to their containment suits being metallic, evolved Sonorosians are vulnerable to the magnetic powers of a Biot-savartian.

Much like their devolved counterparts, both evolved Sonorosians and their Sonic Disks are vulnerable to electricity, such the attacks of a Gimlinopithecus.

An evolved Sonorosian's Sonic Disks are not very durable, as they can be easily destroyed by either laser blasts or an Anodite's Mana attacks.

Evolved Sonorosians can be suffocated if a large amount of matter, such as Nanochip drones, enters their lungs.

Evolved Sonorosians can be knocked out of the sky by a being as large as a To'kustar.

Like other organic beings, evolved Sonorosians can be banished to another timeline by a Chronosapien.

It is uncertain whether evolved Sonorosians retain their ability to generate duplicates of themselves.

Notes[]

  • The exact nature of evolved Sonorsians are unclear, as various accounts have been made by the crew. When asked if they are either robot-like aliens or wear containment suits, Dwayne McDuffie stated that regular Sonorsians "just looks like that".[3]
    • Meanwhile, Derrick J. Wyatt believed that evolved Sonorisans are made of living sound waves, with their physical appearance being containment suits. It is currently unknown who came up with the latter concept, as Derrick heard it from someone else.[4]
  • Various statements made by the crew offer contradictory accounts whether evolved Sonorosians retain their devolved counterparts' self-duplication abilities.
    • During Ultimate Alien' run, a bio for Ultimate Echo Echo featured on Cartoon Network's website stated that Ultimate Echo Echo could self-duplicate. However, McDuffie doubted that Ultimate Echo Echo possessed this ability.[3]
    • Wyatt thought that Ultimate Echo Echo's Sonic Disks could detach from him and then a body would drop down from the disk so he could duplicate by transforming rather than copying. This is why he redesigned Ultimate Echo Echo's disks in Omniverse to resemble his head, only to later find out he could not duplicate.[4]
      • In Wyatt's opinion, Ultimate Echo Echo can duplicate in Omniverse despite being unable to display the power on-screen. He also explained his inability to do so in Ultimate Alien as being due to a glitch with the original Ultimatrix.[4]
  • Although they are from different universes, an evolved Sonorosian's sonic screams can agonize Klyntar to the point of destabilizing them,[4] presumably at a much faster rate compared to regular Sonorosians.
  • Like other evolved species, evolved Sonorosians are not a naturally occurring species. Rather, they are by-products of pre-existing alien DNA.[3][4]
    • However, the Ultimate Echo Echo alien gallery bio from the Ben 10: Ultimate Alien DVD "Escape From Aggregor" incorrectly claims that their homeworld is an ultimate version of Sonorosia.
