The Gorgons are a race of snake-like aliens that have influenced the Greek monsters of the same name.
Biology[]
The Gorgons mainly resemble blue snakes with a transparency reminiscent of the ghost-like Gelth. And just like the Gelth, they have the ability to fly or float.
Abilities[]
The Gorgons have the innate ability to possess any human they choose, and who ever they possess would become impossible to look at or the viewer would be turned to stone. While possessing someone, the Gorgons gains an extended lifespan from that of the host. The Gorgons can also control the minds of anyone nearby.
History[]
Three Gorgons came to Earth via an alien Talisman in Greece 1000 bc and possessed three women who would become well known as the three Gorgons in Greek Mythology: Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale. The first Gorgon Medusa was slain by the Greek hero Perseus, the second Gorgon was killed in 1959 by Professor Nelson-Stanley and his wife, the third Gorgon survived up until 2007, where it tried to open a portal with the alien talisman to Gorgos, where various other Gorgons will come to Earth and take over the entire planet. This operation was stopped by Sarah Jane Smith and her companions Maria, Luke, and Clyde who also killed the Gorgon by using it's stone gaze against it.
