The Crystalline Crushblat is a cave-dwelling relative to the Calcified Crushblat discovered during Captain Olimar's Sparklium expedition onto PNF-404.

Description[]

The Crystalline Crushblat resembles its surface relative, but with much lighter, slightly green skin with far shorter legs. Only found inside of caves and underground areas, its skin has grown more pale. Its spots and stripes are green, and its eyes are larger than the Calcified Crushblat to better see inside the caves.

They are fairly passive animals, moving slowly through the caves without bothering other creatures unless provoked. It isn't able to use the same technique in defense as its Calcified relative can.

Crystallization[]

CrystallineCrushblat

The Crushblat inside its crystalline shell.

Much like the Calcified Crushblat, the Crystalline Crushblat's most notable feature is its hard, crystalline shell. This shell isn't as translucent as its above-ground relative, most like used more for camouflage than for defense.

It creates its crystalline shell in a dormant state, able to create its shell over a few days over the years it would take elsewhere.

Notes[]

  • This species is in the genus "Cephalus", although this is faulty because this is also the genus the Jellyfloats belong to, which are clearly cnidarian. Though this is likely a mistake.
