Faceless are a species of amorphous semi-solid shapeshifters which are capable of flawlessly disguising as a Human, although whether they are capable of assuming other forms is unclear.
While it is unknown whether they are a naturally evolved species or artificially created, the Faceless are utilised as infiltrators during the Ethereal's occupation of Earth. Faceless have been known to assume Human form to infiltrate resistance havens and civilian population centres, lying in wait for hostiles to approach before revealing their true form and attacking. Although unarmed and clearly naked (their clothing in Human form merely being part of their disguise), Faceless are impressively resistant to gunfire and primarily attack with extendable claws.
Likely due to their partially amorphous nature, Faceless bodies have reportedly been known to dissolve into liquid a short time after death.
