""Apparently the Grub-dog family includes this aquatic relative, which will try to eat anything that draws near. I wonder how many times that's backfired on it. How many acorns that happened to fall near its mouth has it swallowed?""
―Log entry

The Eye-Stalker Bulbeel is a species of aquatic Grub-Dog found only within tidal pools and coastal waters of PNF-404.

Description[]

Biology[]

This Grub-Dog cannot venture onto land and is strictly an aquatic species. This creature holds a resemblance to Sea Slugs in anatomy and coloration, with a purple body, a yellow underbelly, and light blue spots running along its fins. It also has long eye stalks to peer out of their hunting spots to look for prey.

Behavior[]

Its hunting method is fairly simple: it hides away in burrows along the sandy floor, waiting for prey to go by. Once a suitable prey item is within reach, it will then launch out of the water with its mouth wide open, sucking in its prey whole.
