The Exxilons are the sapient indigenous inhabitants of the planet of the same name. A formerly advanced civilisation, they have developed technology to create a living self-sustaining Great City, and traveled to numerous planets. The Doctor has speculated that they might have visited Earth and influenced ancient Peruvian cultures.
By the time Humans were exploring other star systems, the Exxilons had reverted to a primitive, superstitious culture without technology, which worshiped the Great City as a deity and offered ritual sacrifices to it.
Biology[]
Exxilons are humanoids with rough hairless skin, huge round pupil-less eyes and toeless feet. There are marks on their bodies which periodically glow. They are rarely active during the day.
