The Extelians are a race of alien gourmands.

Biology[]

A species with foul, violet-colored, spike-pocked muzzles with teeth. They have are thin tentacles that danced around their transparent bodies which an observer could see their digesting food. Extelians glow bright red when angered.

Their metabolism was very different from that of humans, but they were able to appreciate a very wide range of the flavors and aromas of earthly food. Their tastes were almost completely coincided with those of humans.

However Extelians were suspectable to being poisoned through several harmless compounds.

History[]

In the future Earth is one of the many worlds claimed by the Extelian. The planet was conquered in a few days, after the aliens destroyed any centers of resistance.

Almost the entire earth's population was destroyed and sent ‘for processing and disposal’. Only a couple of hundred thousand slaves were left to work on farms and food production facilities located on various continents to grow and produce the planet’s greatest delicacies for the Extelian invaders’ delectation.

The finest exponents of a few particularly valuable professions were frozen. These included professions such as chefs and pastry chefs, which were in high demand. If they were required the aliens would defrost them and set them to work as part of their personal staff or entourage.

There was still a human guerrilla resistance on Earth intent on ousting the hedonistic aliens, though news of their exploits were few.

Chef Lucas Larsgaard, a famed cook, having been frozen by the alien invaders, found himself unfrozen, forced to serve as the personal cook at an alien restaurant of the Extelian who controlled Europe. Under duress Larsgaard served lavish alien meals and kept under watch by a robot staff. He deeply detested his alien masters and in a bold plan to kill some of the higher-ups, concocted a scheme to poison them at a feast he was preparing. Though he had no access to the poisons that affected Extelian, he served a menu that with a little creative chemistry provided the aliens small doses of poisons that would incrementally affect them. And though the robots would most likely kill him afterwards, the cook believed it was worth it after five and a half years of enslavement.

Culture[]

Extelians are a race of foodie gourmands. Rather than visit worlds and simply enjoy the gastronomic pleasures and make friends with, they were greedy and wanted everything and all at once.

Hence leading them to conquer a series of other worlds that interest them on their culinary tourism.

They appear to have no qualms in eating humans, threatening their slaves that they would consume them if they do not meet their expectations.
