These Europan Sea Vent Herbivores are giant fish-like life forms that inhabit the oceans of Europa and move around in schools.

Biology[]

They feed on bacteria that grow around the sea vents, building up conical towers that rise several miles above the ocean floor. Their tubular mouths can pierce the surface of these towers, and their bodies inflate as they suck up large quantities of bacteria. They are territorial creatures that use their bioluminescence to flash out warnings to rivals that venture too close. They're preyed by the Europan Sea Vent Carnivores.
