- "Their minds are empty, used up. They need ideas from us. They're desperate for them."
- ―The Fifth Doctor
The Eternals are an extraordinarily powerful species of reality-altering beings which exist outside of time, in Eternity. They refer to mortal species as "Ephemerals".
Biology[]
The Eternals can read minds, control matter and manipulate reality as they please. They live outside of time itself, in a state that the Fifth Doctor has described as "not really what you'd call living", and consider time to be a very small domain.
In spite of all their powers, the Eternals are mentally stagnant, almost completely devoid of creativity, imagination or emotion, and thus need to extract ideas from the minds of other species. Additionally, they aren't nearly as powerful as the Guardians of Time, which in turn are dwarfed in power by the Grace.
