The Elachi are a species native to Gamma Veritis IV, as well as the Mycelial Network, somehow, they are known to have at one point been a servant species of the Iconians.

The species as early in the 22nd century have been known to abduct and experiment on other species. This was due to the Elachi seeing other races as little more than animals, regardless does if they possessed technology or spacefaring capabilities. Their lack of empathy towards other races, was because none of the species that they encountered were unable to communicate with them.
