The Edenoites are a sapient humanoid species from Edenoi.
Biology[]
Edenoites appear almost completely identical to Humans in terms of outwards appearance, with the exception of a circular crystal that naturally grows in their foreheads. Referred to as mind-crystals, these crystals enable Edenoites to use their various abilities, such as projecting their thoughts as images, scanning, utilizing x-ray vision, sensing danger, and emitting frequencies that can knock out nearby lifeforms. This crystal can be cloaked, making whatever Edenoite cloaks it appear just like a Human. Whenever they speak, their mind crystals flash. Edenoites appear to age similarly to Humans, able to grow visibly elderly, although over the course of thousands of years. Notably, despite their Human-like appearances, Edenoites evolved from insects, not simians.
Culture and society[]
The Edenoites are ruled in a monarchy. By the time of the banishment of Count Dregon, Edenoi had no more use for weapons, becoming peaceful, allowing them to be easily enslaved by Dregon upon his return, and used to extensively mine the surface. Despite this, the Edenoites had held access to a set of powers known as the Masked Rider powers for generations, utilized by Edenoi's champions. Evildoers like Dregon are known to be banished off-world. The Edenoites, or at least King Lexian, had relations with Zordon and other forces for good, as the Alpha robots were delivered to Zordon, and are willing to defend other worlds.
Technology[]
Edenoites had access to advanced technologies, such as the Alpha robots, which are sapient humanoid robots built with red bodies and gold, disc-like heads. It is unknown if they created the Masked Rider powers or adapted the technology to themselves. While capable of traveling across space by seemingly encasing themselves in energy and launching across space, similarly to Power Ranger teleportation, it is unknown if this is achieved by magic or by some sort of technology, like the Power Rangers.
History[]
Edenoites evolved from insects on the planet Edenoi, eventually becoming Human-like. They became peaceful, losing the need for weapons, but aided Zordon and his allies in the war against evil. King Lexian commissioned a series of robots, dubbed "Alpha" to be built and delivered to Zordon as his assistant. At least five of robots in this line were made on Edenoi. Eventually, Count Dregon, the son of King Lexian, became evil, and was banished for his crimes, but returned and swiftly conquered Edenoi, enslaving the populace and displacing Lexian. Dregon forced the people to mine the surface, turning the lush and green planet into a massive desert. When the planet was first attacked, King Lexian bestowed the Masked Rider powers to his grandson Dex, who led the resistance against Dregon. In the 1990s, he was aided by the Power Rangers from Earth, and soon traveled to Earth himself to combat Dregon, who was also on his way to conquer the planet and turn Humans into his soldiers. On Earth, Dex lived among a family of Humans known as the Stewarts, and tried to blend in the best he could.

- In the original demo pilot of Masked Rider and "A Friend in Need", Dregon wasn’t an Edenoite. This was retconned for the final product.
- A species seen in Power Rangers Time Force, Xybrians, are very similar to Edenoites, with similar crystals in their foreheads and some similar abilities, but any relation between the two species is unknown.
