Edenic Predators are an unnamed species of arboreal creatures which inhabit the forests of Eden, a world in orbit of a binary star system.

Biology[]

These Predators are simian creatures with six tridactyl limbs and no tail. They're arboreal and apparently live in groups, but hunt prey alone. Their diet consists of the native Grazers.

Despite having six limbs, Edenic Predators only use four of their limbs for locomotion. The extra pair of limbs is usually kept hidden and unleashed suddenly when in pursuit of prey to act as long grasping appendages and help them capture the fleeing Grazers. In winter, the Predators migrate to other locations as the Grazers die out.

When Predators eat Grazers that have been infected by a parasitic fungal spore (an easy feat for them as the Grazers lose their fear instinct upon being infected), the infection is transferred to them. While the Grazers only lose their fear to the infection, the Predators are killed by the fungus, which uses their bodies as a food source meat, fruit and vegetable.

Abilities[]

When in hunt mode, the predators can rush at high speeds.

The Predator has enhanced jumping skills and climbing skills.

Two unseen hands are under the predator's forearms.

They may run fast, able to escape the dark winter.

Vulnerabilities[]

They can die through the fungal infection.
