Earth Leviathans, or Sandworms, are extremely large terrestrial worms rarely known throughout a number of moons within the Thistle Nebula: they're most commonly found on "Assurance" and "Experimentation" but even then, they are not found often.

Anatomy[]

Theoredically speaking, the earth leviathan is the largest known organism within the Thistle Nebula and had been observed devouring creatures as large as forest keepers. They come from the family of jawless leeches called Piscicolidae but as one has not been captured as for current studies, very little is truly known about it.

Behavior[]

The most known information regarding the earth leviathan comes from its hunting behavior: it is able to sense the vibrations of potential prey on the surface, and once the prey is close enough, it will lunge out of the ground and swallowing its prey whole. It has been speculated that earth leviathans can burrow through the ground as deep as forty meters, mainly judging the excavations they would leave.

Trivia[]

  • As it is from the family Piscicolidae, this also makes the earth leviathan the only known terrestrial species of jawless leech from this family, as all others are aquatic parasite rather than terrestrial ones.
