The inhabitants of the planet Alpha-Auri are called Duckoids. They were invented by Romano Scarpa, who immortalized them twice in his stories.
Biology[]
Duckoids are bipedal duck-like or chicken-like humanoids (similar to the Ducks) and possess galactic powers that make them superior to Earthlings. Like some of the earthlings, they have bills and are covered in white feathers. In contrast to them, however, they wear a full body suit and sometimes lush hair. Some also have horns.
Society[]
They are ruled by a monarch who, like them, is mostly peace-loving. However, not too long ago there was a coup by the tyrannical ruler King Ducklien, which terrified the entire population. After a few years in power, he was then exiled and replaced by the old king. Since then, nothing more is known about the conditions on the planet, but it can be assumed that there is peace.
Technology[]
Alpha-Auri consists of pure gold. Everything on the planet is made of gold, even the fuel for the spaceships, most of which take over the tasks of the car on earth. The special thing about Alpha-Auri, in addition to the distinctive shape of buildings, is that gold can grow there. This gives residents a unique opportunity to craft anything from gold - from baskets to buildings.
The Duckoids have spaceships called Auromobiles. The Auromobil is a pudding-shaped spaceship powered by gold as fuel. It is entered through a mouth-shaped entrance that can only be reached by a ladder, above which there are two eye-shaped windows.
With the help of an Auromobile, King Ducklien, ruler of the Duckoids, was banished to the far reaches of outer space, together with Princess Zilia, the technician Gallien and his helpers Sock and Gonz.

Trivia[]
- In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the first story with the Duckoids was published as being an in-universe film made by Uncle Scrooge. This led to an inconsistancy, when the second story was published, as the Duckoids now were included as being characters in the universe. The inconsistancy was never fully explained.
