The Driller is a tentative name to members of the Unity that are specialized in digging underground tunnels.
Biology[]
Driller had the basic Unity traits of telepathy and two stalk eyes. They had parted shells that when closed together was serrated and ridged like a drill, and tapered to a near-point.
When called on to work, Driller withdrew their eye stalks into their shells and through some biological method they could rotate their drill bodies to churn and dig through rock and soil.
Culture[]
Drillers were drillers were responsible for the network of tunnels the Unity used to get around on Mars.
They were nonviolent creatures and only concerned with digging. If confronted by an enemy they will never engage, preferring to retreat to allow the warrior caste of its kind to advance in its place.
