- Not to be confused with the similarly-named Dremans.
Dramens; a.k.a. Dramians; are a sapient alien species from the Dramen star system and inhabit at least two planets in that system: Dramia and Dramia II. First contact between this species and the United Federation of Planets happened at some point prior to 2251.
Biology[]
Dramens are lanky creatures, standing 7 ft in height (~ 2.13 m), with hairless yellow skin, bulging reddish-brown eyes with rectangular pupils, large ears, and yellow eyelids. Instead of a nose, Dramens have a single nostril in the shape of a skull's nasal orifice. The shape of their craniums varies widely, with some being narrower and others broader. Likewise, their ears may be rounder or distinctly pointed, depending on the individual.
Their body shape is more-or-less humanoid, with two arms and two legs. The arms branch into four tendrils that serve as fingers, while the legs terminate in large feet with broad flattened toes.
Like Humans and Edosians (and unlike Vulcans), Dramens are vulnerable to the disease known as the Dramia II plague. Although some rare individuals have been found to produce antibodies that allow them to fight-off the disease, even these fail to become completely immune, as they may still catch the plague again in the future.
