The Dorenvads are a sapient hermit crab-like species that inhabit the asteroid fields around Sector 3, which also contains -7Pi.

Members of the Dorenvad showcase seemingly weak, pale orange bodies with wrinkled bumps on their necks which resemble gills, another bump resembling a nose, six legs, two eyes and six barbled whiskers on their chins. They live inside of large shells called Fear Lodges, which are used to train members of the Sinestro Corps

Dorenvads can live for countless centuries, and because of their slow digestive system, can go for over 600 years without food.
