Demolition Drones are a subspecies of Cybertronian Vehicons from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Demolition Drones share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they transform into Cybertronian treaded excavator-like "destruction vehicles".
Powers and abilities[]
Demolition Drones share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
Demolition Drones are practically unstoppable thanks to their heavy armor. The galva-conductors on their backs channel deadly electric currents.
Weaknesses[]
Demolition Drones share many of the same weaknesses as other Cybertronians.
Culture and society[]
Demolition Drones share a similar culture to other Cybertronian Vehicons. They serve as reserve reinforcements for other types of Vehicon drones.
Demolition Drones are perhaps Megatron's most horrific invention ever: an army of programmable drones which unquestionably serve his every wish. Falling under Tankor's charge of specialized Tank Drones, their application is focused on brute force.
One notable Demolition Drone is Scavenger, who enjoys nothing more than getting out and wrecking something.
History[]
Megatron created the Demolition Drones to assist his other legions of Vehicons against the ever-growing number of Maximals and other insurgents on Cybertron. He sent a light infantry force of these drones to fight alongside fellow generals Spy Streak, Blastcharge, and Quake. They were also tasked with guarding an old Autobot shuttle from the Wreckers, who wished to use it to get offworld.
Several Demolition Drones were destroyed by the Wreckers in the ensuing close quarters melee while the rest were caught in the blast that consumed the facility as the shuttle launched.
Alternate history[]
In the days leading up to the Pax Cybertronia, Flamewar (disguised as the original Megatron) manufactured a large number of Demolition Drones on the conquered planet of Nibari. She attempted to use them against three Maximals and a local insurgents' army.
However, the insurgents had rewired the drones to obey their commands, allowing them to quickly overpower and defeat Flamewar. After the Maximals' departure, the native Nibarians planned to convert the drones to tools of construction and repair.
Notes[]
- Although early concept art for Scavenger is very similar to the final product, his original color layout implies a lot more paint applications in his crane-neck area.
- Scavenger also had the preliminary name of "Destructicon".[1]
- From what can be inferred by his original toy bio and all fictional appearances related to Beast Machines, Scavenger seems to be the only sapient Vehicon who is not a general.
