History[]

In the past the Dar-Tongo were a tyrannical race that enslaved many worlds using the Toark as deterrents to force compliance. The rule of the Dar-Tongo eventually ended after the Great Rebellion, which was perpetuated by a human named Smash Atoms.

Afterwards the conquered worlds of the Dar-Tongo reorganized themselves as the Galactic Counsel. Four generations later, the Dar-Tongo's faced an unprecedent cultural change under King Yamoon. Through his peaceful rise to power, Yamoon had his people and world join the Galactic Counsel, which at the time caused an issue of cosmic concern. Under his leadership King Yamoon strived to reinvent his species' shameful past as enslavers to prove his species had grown and matured.

King Yamoon thus became a bridge to forgiveness and healing, helping his world become accepted into the Galactic Counsel. King Yamoon would later announce bid to be a candidate for President of the Galactic Counsel. Though there were many concerns, as many worlds remember the dark past of the Dar-Tongo. Despite this history, King Yamoon was resolute that his people had changed as he had love and hope.

In the race for the Presidency, King Yamoon initially had a third place approval rating. Later leading to a second place behind the other candidate T'ontona of Ordmdne.

During the election race, King Yamoon's advisor Lord Boomba was working behind the scenes seemingly aiming to rig the election in his king's favor and also sending out mercenaries to attack the descendants of Smash Atoms, in order to acquire an artifact of the Dar-Tongo. However during King Yamoon's campaign he openly disagreed to his alignment with some races such as the Slevin who he held some prejudices against. Though his words were dismissed by Yamoon. Eventually the mercenaries acquired the artifact for Boomba, having killed Smask Atom's great grandson to acquire it.

On Election Day, the results showed King Yamoon to be neck in neck with T'ontona for the position of President of the Galactic Counsel. King Yamoon heralded it for great change and galactic history. In the end Yamoon won the election for the presidency much to his opponent's confusion who believed there was foul play and vowed to investigate how Yamoon achieved this.

During President Yamoon's victory dinner, Lord Boomba coldy turned away the Slevin delegates who came to offer congratulations to Yamoon, telling them that they were unwelcomed.

On the day of Yamoon's inauguration, Lord Boomba shot his liege in the back in front of his wife and the attending crowd. Pazza, Yamoon's bodyguard attempted to attack Boomba but was restrained by various minions of the advisor.

Boomba revealed that he was the true mastermind behind Yamoon's ascent, as he had been using him to position the Dar-Tongo into power once more. However he was disgusted by Yamoon's vision of peaceful integration, calling him a traitor to the traditions of the Dar-Tongo. Boomba announced to the crowd that he viewed the world of the Galactic Counsel to have become corrupted since the Great Rebellion, akining their governance as children that needed a guiding hand.

Sadly since Yamoon refused to embrace his heritage as a Dar-Tongo and rejected Boomba's counsel of exploiting his influence on the galactic stage, the traitorous Dar-Tongo announced he would be taking over directy. Many in the crowd rejected this, refusing to heed to his bid for power. Boomba had accounted for this, and revealed he was in control of the Toark thanks to finally recovering a key that could control them to threaten their worlds into submission. To demonstrate his control, Boomba decided to position a Toark over every world in the Galactic Counsel. And to show he meant good on his threat decided to destroy the world of the Slevin.

The danger of the Toark was neutralized though as Amber Atoms, Smash Atoms' great great granddaughter, and her Galactic Guardian companions managed to immobilize thew crew of the main Toark, and retrieve the key to activate the world destroyers. Boomba and his supporters then was apprehended by an angry crowd of civilians.

President Yamoon would recover from his injury and awarded Amber a favor by having her use him as a reference to enroll into the Galactic University at Richatti. Yamoon's presidency was not without controversy, as while Yamoon truly embraced a new path for his people, his own homeworld still held deep resentment for past transgressions. And due to Boomba it had exposed an old wound, causing Dar-Tongo to isolate itself from the other worlds and prepare for war.

Yamoon refused to allow this and thus moved to try and re-establish contact with his homeworld. Since diplomacy had failed there was a plan to insert a small team of Galactic Guardians to determine the political situation there.

Culture[]

In the ancient past, the Dar-Tongo thought there world was the center of the universe. Due to this belief the Dar-Tongo felt entitled to enslave all emerging young worlds since they were the oldest known race.

After the Great Rebellion, the Dar-Tongo strove to put behind the past and reach out to other worlds with peaceful intentions.

There also appears to be some racial enmity towards the Slevin.
