Cryo-Condors (also known as Cassette Birds, Laserbeak Drones, or simply Laserbeaks) are a subspecies of semi-sapient avian Cybertronian Mini-Cassettes from the planet Cybertron.

Anatomy[]
Cryo-Condors share a similar to other Cybertronian Mini-Cassettes, except their robot modes resemble condor-based avians.
In addition to cassette tapes, Cryo-Condors can transform into either electric guitars or Cybertronian data disks.
Powers and abilities[]
Cryo-Condors share many of the same abilities as other Mini-Cassettes, namely fitting into the chest compartments of Cybertronians such as Soundwave and Blaster.
Certain Cryo-Condors possess combination abilities, as Squawktalk can combine with Beastbox to form Squawkbox.
Culture and society[]
In the wild, Cryo-Condors are functionally similar to non-sapient birds until they are captured and domesticated by other Cybertronians. The most notable Cryo-Condors include Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sundor, Garboil, and Squawktalk.
While they are commonly affiliated with either the Autobots or the Decepticons upon domestication, incarnations of Buzzsaw are alternatively affiliated with the Mercenaries.
Judging by the species' name, Cryo-Condors either inhabit or create cold temperatures.
History[]
Primax Cluster[]
Cryo-Condors hold the distinction of being the first known mechanimals to be rebuilt and adapted into full Cybertronians for use in wartime. Specifically, members of this species were recreated as Decepticons Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. This likely applies to the other Mini-Cassettes that also share their body-type.

Laserbeaks are indigenous to Planet X and serve as companions to the Noisemaze warriors during battle.
Tyran Cluster[]
Laserbeak Drones were among the Decepticon Soldiers who attacked NEST operative Vanessa and her civilian partner Jake while investigating their activities in Africa, United States West Coast, and Canada.
Years later, Laserbeak Drones attacked the Autobots, Vanessa, and Jake in the road tunnels of the Decepticons' secret underwater base under the Pacific Ocean. When the Autobots headed to East China, Laserbeak Drones terrorized them both inside and around Kinetic Solutions Incorporated's headquarters. Laserbeak Drones were also among the Decepticon Soldiers aboard a secret Decepticon mothership stationed near Earth's Moon.

Cryo-Condors exist as Cybertronians created on Earth using AllSpark fragments.
Cyberverse Universe[]
Laserbeak was originally part of a flock of avian Cybertronians who could transform into cassette tapes before being captured by Soundwave, who gave him his name and role as his partner-in-crime.

- The "Aligned" continuity family incarnations of Cryo-Condors are capable of being reformatted into other types of Mini-Cons. For example, Laserbeak becomes an Activator for the "Combiner Force" season of the 2015 Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon before adopting an Evergreen-inspired design based on his Generation 1 counterpart in Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy.
