The Crested Mockiwi is a tougher member of the Mockiwi family that has been observed in isolated areas on PNF-404.
Description[]
Like other Mockiwis, the Crested Mockiwi is its family's counterpart to the stronger Spotty Bulbear. Its body is covered in purple feathers with pink skin underneath, with a slightly smaller beak. As the name suggests, it also has a large head crest made of pink feathers, used for display and intimidation of rivals.
Crested Mockiwis are isolated in range, only existing where the more adaptive Bulborb family hadn't taken a foothold. It is theorized because of this, that if Bulborbs did enter any territory of these Mockiwi, it will be wiped out fairly quickly.
Biology[]
The Crested Mockiwi is a fair bit stronger than its common cousin. Being hit by a Pikmin won't defeat it, however its crest appears to be its Achilles' heel, as firing a Pikmin at it is the only way to defeat it.
