Cree is a blue moss-like life form with known medical properties which constitutes the most common type of vegetation growing on Ganymede's surface. Its blue coloration is actually caused by the ammoniac atmosphere: when cultivated in air with little ammonia content, the moss becomes red instead. Red Cree has also been discovered on Io.
