The Crater Viper is a predatory creature native to an unnamed planet which held a base of Emperor Zurg, Buzz Lightyear and his partner Warp Darkmatter encounter a group of these creatures while on a mission.
Biology[]
They appear with dark blue shells, purple skins and some serpentine-like bodies. They also possess 4 insectoid-like arms and a beak-like mouth without any sharp teeth.
Their eyes are hidden on their faces, and their tongues are somewhat large. They strongly resemble the Narlzaks, a subspecies of the serpentine creature of the same name. Some of the crater viper voices sound like squealing pigs and elephant cries, though they don't talk. Curiously enough, both the creature and its four arms emit gases from the moon's volcanoes spewing purple fumes emit the same gases from their mouths, suggesting that it was either one producing the gases all along (very unlikely given its size could not possibly accommodate for the entire planetoid) or that it was an indigenous creature that had adapted to breathing the almost nonexistent atmosphere, as well as aiding in producing part of the gases emitted into its atmosphere.
Crater Vipers are aggressive due to their behaviors. However, loud noises catch their attention, and it prefers to lure its prey to it instead of going after themselves.
Facts[]
Crater vipers get their name by resembling giant snakes with eight legs and for living in volcanic craters, they even emit smoke from their mouths, though it is not yet known how they live in such conditions.
Crater vipers seem to be solitary hunters as Buzz Lightyear stated they never hunt in packs, (though the crater vipers he encountered were the fingers of some monster that guarded Zurg's lair). Although crater vipers are carnivorous, their natural prey is not yet known, however they can and will consume a sentient species such as Little Green Men.
Notes[]
- Crater Vipers are carnivorous, known to eat any victims at their prey.
