Orthopterrans are a race of humanoid insect-like aliens.
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Due to their large and muscular legs, Orthopterrans are able to jump extremely large distances. When they jump, they create a shockwave. They can use their heads as battering rams and can scale walls.
Orthopterrans do not have any endoskeleton. Their exoskeleton on their head is as strong as steel. It is full of viscous shock absorbing fluid to protect internal organs.
The predatory species of this race is Mucilator's species, who have sticky pink sacs across their body that are designed to trap their prey.
Omnitrix Transformation Edit
The Omnitrix's Orthopterran representative is named Crashhopper, who first appeared in the Omniverse episode "It Was Them". Crashhopper solely appears in Omniverse.
- The name of this species is never stated in the series itself, but the placeholder name "Orthopterran" comes from the bio for Mucilator from the alien gallery special feature of the Omniverse DVD "A New Beginning".
- According to Duncan Rouleau, the Omnitrix from the Ben 10 reboot contains Orthopterran DNA. Therefore, Crashhopper is one of the countless aliens whose DNA pod was glimpsed in the episode "Innervasion Part 5: High Override".
