The Crab-Clawed Kamelius is a non-sapient species of large, armoured creatures. According to a Space World employee named Kitson, they inhabit the deserts of Aldebaran II.

According to the Doctor, "Crab-Clawed Kamelius" is not the real name of this species, but just a fanciful designation invented by Space World.

Biology[]

Members of this species are elephant-sized creatures, similar to an armadillo, with legs covered in scales, and two pairs of additional limbs protruding from their shoulders. These extra limbs terminate on crab-like claws that could easily cut off a humanoid's limb. They also have small red eyes, a gaping red mouth filled with double rows of teeth, and produce roaring vocalizations. Their teeth are powerful enough to break through the thick carapace of the land-based molluscs that constitute their natural prey.
