Covenant Koi are a species of non-sapient fish that have a similar appearance to the Koi species of fish found on the planet Earth. They were used by the Covenant Empire as a possible food source for their soldiers, specifically Unggoy, and were usually kept in small pond areas such as the one found on High Charity. During the Human-Covenant War, Master Chief came in contact with a small school of Covenant Koi while fighting The Flood aboard High Charity, just shortly after killing the San'Shyuum Prophet of Mercy.
