Corvicons are a subspecies of crow-like Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Corvicons share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they transform into giant robotic crows.
Female Corvicons are significantly larger than the average Cybertronian whereas males are only slightly larger. Male also have prominent kibble resembling a beak on the front of their heads, which females lack.
Powers and abilities[]
Corvicons share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.
A Corvicon's claws are equipped with sharp talons.
Corvicons are highly maneuverable in flight. As such, they specialize in making swooping attacks to rake their enemies with their claws.
Culture and society[]
Corvicons are compulsive thieves and hoarders, utterly single-minded in their pursuit of treasure. This "treasure" can be anything from a super-valuable crystalline containment vessel to a discarded foil gum wrapper. The important thing is that it be shiny—the glitterier the better.
While they are commonly affiliated with the Decepticons, incarnations of Filch are alternatively affiliated with the Star Raiders.
Language[]
Corvicons speak using screechy, squawking voices.

Notes[]
- The "Corvicon" name comes from Corvids, which refers to, taxonomically speaking, crows and their relatives.
- The Corvicons' shiny craving, thieving behavior is specifically associated with magpies, and their "swooping" attack pattern is reminiscent of the Australian variety of same.
- The name "Corvicon" was first used on-screen by Grimlock in the 2015 Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon episode "True Colors"; Filch was confirmed to be a Corvicon in the ancillary book "Bumblebee Versus Scuzzard".
- Meanwhile, Boostwing and his brothers Jacknab and Pilfer are called both "crow Decepticons" by the Autobots and "Crowcons" by Russell Clay in the later episode "Get a Clue".
