Compendi were a humanoid race of scholars from Compendum in the Jinnrise Universe.

Compendi were light-purple skinned humanoids with small fin-like protrusions emerging from the sides of their lower jaw.
History[]
The Compendi were one of the many races that the Kibrani wiped out in their galactic purge of conquest. Strangely the Compendi did not fight back, allowing the invaders to slaughter them without resistance. Lahasad Brimi, the commanding Kibrani general led their slaughter, however the behavior of the sadness in the eyes of the aliens shook him and his already shaken faith in the Kibrani's way of life. When the last Compeni fell guarding their planet's greatest treasure, Lahasad went alone and discovered the Oracle. There the Orace told the Kibrani what he already knew but feared to admit, that the Kibrani's so-called righteousness was a lie, that they were a plague against life. The Oracle foretold of the coming of the jinn and how they would defeat the genocidal aliens, before bowing its head accepting that Lahasad would kill it. After leaving the chamber containing the Oracle, Lahasad ordered the chamber to be buried and then summarily exiled himself. Unbeknownst to his soldiers the sealing of the chamber was intended to hide the Oracle, who in fact was spared, surprising the entity on the Kibrani's act of mercy and defiance to fate.
Culture[]
The Compendi were a race of scholars and pacifists. They spend their lifetimes in exploration, contemplation and discover. Their entire planet is a testament to those commitments, an entire world a library of knowledge. Everything they uncover they openly shared with all races to learn and grow. Central to the Compendi's culture is the Oracle, an artificial intelligence created from the combined knowledge collected by the Compendi and its greatest scholars. This intelligence amassed so much wisdom and knowledge that it could predict events with pin-point accuracy. They refused to abandoned their world, despite knowing of the Kibrani invasion as leaving the Oracle behind would be akin to leaving their souls.
