Combatibots are a subspecies of bestial Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.

Biology[]

While also being a subgroup of Autobots, Combatibots consider themselves a species unto themselves.

Anatomy[]

Combatibots have similar biology to other Cybertronians with bestial alternate modes.

Powers and abilities[]

Combatibots share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.

Select Combatibots can combine to form a combiner known as Toxitron.

Culture and society[]

The Combatibots are a group of beast-mode Autobots who specialize in sneaking behind enemy lines to launch guerilla attacks on Decepticon infrastructure. Unfortunately, many of them are destined to be corrupted by such campaigns, forsaking the Autobot moral code. They would consequently be tried for their crimes and imprisoned.[1]

History[]

When the Ulchtar of Aurex 603.0 Kappa broke into Primax 388.0 Gamma Zone's Satellite Penitentiary, he retrieved the personality components of renegade Autobots. This group consisted of Screechwing, Spiketail, Nightprowler, Albitron, and Leatherhide. These five Autobots would become the Combatibots and gained the ability to combine into Toxitron. At some later point, the Combatibots (as Toxitron) would join Bio Ranger Iga's Thirteen Great Demon Generals.

Notes[]

  • All five Combatibots and their combined form are named after unreleased redecoes of various Transformers toys:
    • Screechwing and Spiketail were meant to be redecos of Beast Wars Transmetals 2 Sonar and Stinkbomb. Both characters were slated to be released as part of the Beast Machines: Battle for the Spark toyline.
    • Nightprowler was meant to be a redeco of the original Beast Wars Cheetor toy and was slated for release as part of a Walmart-exclusive "Halloween Horrorcon Value Pack" for the 2003 Transformers: Universe toyline.
    • Albitron was meant to be a redeco of Beast Wars Basic Class Megatron and was slated for release as a convention-exclusive addition to the Beast Wars toyline.
    • Leatherhide was meant to be a redeco of Beast Wars Mutant Soundwave and was slated for release as part of a Walmart-exclusive "Halloween Horrorcon Value Pack" for the 2003 Universe toyline.
    • Toxitron is named after an unreleased redeco of Generation 2 Laser Optimus Prime that was slated to be released as part of the 2003 Universe toyline.
  • Unlike some of the other Combatibots, Leatherhide and Nightprowler would luckily appear in canon media years later.
    • Leatherhide would appear in the Beast Wars: Uprising prose stories as an Autobot scientist.
    • Nightprowler would receive a toy as part of the Transformers: Legacy toyline, being a Walmart-exclusive redeco of War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe Class Cheetor.
