- "I can be all things. A destroyer, a healer, a creator. I'm beyond good and evil as you know it."
- ―Kronos
Chronovores are an eldritch species of extraordinarily powerful beings which inhabit a realm outside of time and space. The mightiest among them is called Kronos, who has the potential to destroy the entire universe.
Biology[]
Chronovores can manifest themselves in several forms, including a winged white avian form and a feminine humanoid form. Their name means "time-eater", as they can feed on time itself. They can alter reality, transform other beings, transport people to other realms, and at least one of them (Kronos) is powerful enough to destroy the entire universe.
Chronovores can be imprisoned in a special type of crystal, which can only be destroyed in an event of such cataclysmic force as a time-ram (i.e. two TARDISes colliding with each other inside the time vortex). The destruction of the crystal results in the Chronovore being freed from imprisonment.
Culture and society[]
Chronovores claim to be "beyond good and evil", and are extraordinarily dangerous to deal with. However, they can show gratitude to those who have helped them, such as when Kronos saved the Doctor and Jo Grant and spared the Master from an eternity of torment at the Doctor's request.
