Chompazoids are an especially ravenous subspecies of quadrupedal Cybertronian Dinobots from the planet Cybertron.
Biology[]
While also being a subgroup of Decepticons, Chompazoids consider themselves a species unto themselves.
Anatomy[]
Chompazoids share a similar biology to other Cybertronian Dinobots, except they are massive and quadrupedal. Their robot modes have a canid-motif with huge heads and gaping maws full of metal-rending teeth.
Ecology[]
Chompazoids have been known to ingest metal.
Powers and abilities[]
Chompazoids share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians. Though because their animalistic modes are a robot mode motif rather than an alternate mode, they can transform into large land vehicles seemingly designed to plow through opposition.
Chompazoids are dangerously strong compared to other types of Cybertronians.
Chompazoids can gain a near-instantaneous yet temporary boost in power from ingesting metal. A well-fed and enraged Chompazoid can prove incredibly difficult to bring down.
Weaknesses[]
Chompazoids can be quickly weakened should they consume non-metallic substances, be it organic matter or manufactured products like plastics.
Culture and society[]
Chompazoids can be employed as "guard dogs".

Notes[]
- Chompazoids were never regarded as a Dinobot subspecies in the 2015 Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon. This detail was retroactively established in the Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy episode "Tyrannosaurus Wrecked".
