Cheron Natives, a.k.a. Cherons or Cheronians, are a critically endangered race native to the planet Cheron.
Biology
Not much is known about the biology of the Cheronians. They have an extremely long lifespan of over 50,000 years. Physically, they look humanoid, with one half of their bodies black in color and the other half white, but which side is black and which is white varies.
Culture
Cheronians have an extremely racist culture. Those who are black on the right side consider themselves superior to those who are white on the right side, and they both seem to consider themselves superior to "monocolored" lifeforms, such as Humans.
History
Due to intense discrimination, the "half-black" (i.e. black on the right side) Cheronians persecuted their "half-white" (i.e. white on the right side) brethren, resulting in a planetary civil war between the two factions. The war was brutal and killed all but two individuals: one of each faction. The war was so brutal that by the time the Federation discovered the planet in 2268, there were still dead bodies from the war.
Technology
The Cheron natives possess very fast spaceships equipped with cloaking devices and shields which can disrupt computers. Some members of this species can also command advanced technological systems by sheer willpower alone, bringing vessels as large as starships completely under their control whenever they please.
