The Cetus is a huge spaceborne life form which can devour spaceships and bite off fragments of planets, leaving scars on the planetary surface that are deep enough to be seen from space.
Only one member of this species has been documented, living in space near the planet Savion and descending to feed upon parts of the planet's crust every 6,270 years. It's not known whether there are others living in other parts of the universe.
